Welcome to episode 36 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Fourth Quarter Preview. The guys have a big announcement about the future of the show, and it spills into the first half of they hyperthetical. However, first there is plenty of Star Wars news, celebrities to find, listener feedback and more. So, get ready for episode 36: Fourth Quarter Preview.

Recent Star Wars News

After the big announcement, the show turns to the news. The first item for discussion is the resurrection of a classic Star Wars source book. In addition, the Han Solo reshoots claimed their first casualty. Plus, the Star Wars Show recently revealed two new massive vehicles for the First Order. Finally, the news turns to a brief discussion of a potential Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars story.

Skystalking

It is the final show of the month, and that means it is time for Skystalking. Therefore, Darth Taxus combed the furthest reaches of the internet and discovered where the Star Wars celebrities are making appearances next month. Tune in and find out if and where a Star Wars celebrity is appearing near you.

Hyperthetical: Fourth Quarter Preview

The last quarter of the year is a busy time for Star Wars. Everything kicks off with Force Friday II, and the year ends with The Last Jediand several movie tie-ins. In anticipation of all the forthcoming Star Wars content, this episode's Hyperthetical dives into all the Star Wars goodness to come including Rebels, novels, comics, and more.

Silence Fools!

Finally, no episode of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels is complete without some listener feedback in "Silence Fools!" In this edition, there is John Powell feedback, porg counts, and the return of five year-old questions.

Welcome to episode 35 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Dynasty of Shtick and Taxes. Dennis is back from his trip. After a week off, there is plenty of Star Wars news up for discussion. In addition, Jay Krebs returns for the conclusion of the Scoundrels Summer Book Club. So, get ready for episode 35:Dynasty of Shtick and Taxes.

Recent Star Wars News

After a brief discussion of Disney's impending streaming service and Dennis's thoughts on John Powell, Dennis and Taxus begin the show in earnest with the news. The first item for discussion is the addition of another writer for Episode IX. Then the news continues with a discussion of a new Star Wars virtual reality experience at Disney parks. Plus, Anthony Breznican released several articles discussing The Last Jedi in Entertainment Weekly. The guys discuss the details revealed therein. 

Dysnasty of Evil Review

It had to happen sometime, and that time is now. The finale of the Scoundrel Summer Book Club is upon us, Scoundrels. Jay Krebs, the Third Scoundrel, returns to the show. Jay, Dennis, and Taxus break down the key characters and events from the final book of the Darth Bane trilogy: Dynasty of Evil. Between Bane and Zannah, who emerges victorious and leads the Sith into a new age? You've read the book, now listen to our discussion in episode 35.

Welcome to episode 34 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Porg Hunters of Texas. While Dennis is away, the Dark Lord of Tax will play. On this episode, Darth Taxus teams up with Jay Krebs and they cover all things porg. Not really. But it is kind of true. However, there are plenty of other things to cover as. So, prepare yourself for episode 34: Porg Hunters of Texas.

Recent Star Wars News

After sharing some Porg-centric poetry, Jay and Taxus turn to the news. The news begins with a discussion of the new Forces of Destiny action figures. Then the news continues with a discussion of, you guessed it, Porgs. In addition, they break down book news from the San Diego Comic Con, Dave Filoni Ahsoka bombs, and an announcement of the composer for the Han Solo movie.

Unexpected Caller

When Taxus excuses himself, Jay receives an unexpected call. It turns out this caller claims possession of behind the scenes knowledge of the Han Solo movie director shakeup. What does he know? Tune in and find out.

D23 Star Wars Fashion

The show continues as Jay describes the latest Star Wars fashions from Ashley Eckstein and Her Universe. At D23, the voice of everyone's favorite Togruta, Ahasoka Tano, debuted new designs and hosted a fashion show. Jay shares all the details.

One of the most exciting parts of D23 was The Last Jedi behind the scenes trailer. Following the fashion discussion, Jay and Taxus briefly discuss the sizzle reel in part two of the Hyperthetical.

We Land on Alderaan and Talk D23

Despite his absence from the rest of the show, Dennis returns to join Taxus for a discussion of the Star Wars announcements from D23. They are not alone. Indeed, the guys welcome Richard and Sarah Woloski from Skywalking Through Neverland to the show. Richard and Sarah attended D23 and discuss all the Star Wars announcements related to the Disney Parks.

The Dark Side of Heavy Metal

Galactic Empire, past guests on the show, started touring this year. Recently, their tour brought them to Dallas, Texas, and therefore, Darth Taxus had to be there. Taxus caught up with the band to discuss the progress of the tour and shares their discussion here.

Silence Fools!

Finally, it wouldn't be an episode of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels without some listener feedback in "Silence Fools!" The discussion of Darth Bane: Rule of Two from episode 33 provoked plenty of discussion on Twitter. Naturally, Jay and Taxus discuss some of their favorite listener Tweets to conclude the show.
