Welcome to episode 57 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Scrumrats. On this episode, the Scoundrels continue their discussion of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Before they get back to Solo, they address recent Star Wars news and discuss upcoming Star Wars celebrity appearances. Welcome to episode 57: Scrumrats.

Recent Star Wars News

Ever since the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, official Star Wars news has been slow. However, there is news in the world of Star Wars video games. The Scoundrels discuss the recent announcement of new content arriving for Battlefront II this fall. Then the Scoundrels discuss a recently announced Star Wars title arriving next year that promises action and adventure.

Skystalking

Darth Taxus is back with another edition of Skystalking. This week, Taxus has rounded up all the Star Wars celebrity appearances for July. Although the best location for Star Wars celebrities in July might be in London, there are plenty of other opportunities to snag an autograph. Tune into Skystalking and find out when and where.

Solo: A Star Wars Story - The Discuss Continues

One episode of discussion on Solo simply wasn't enough for the Scoundrels. Therefore, the discussion continues this week. First, Dennis brings up the portrayal of Corellia in the film and the conditions on Han's home world. Jay has thoughts on L3-37, and Taxus has a point or two to make about Qi'ra. They discuss this and more in this episode's "Hyperthetical."

Silence Fools!

Finally, the show turns to some listener feedback and community news in "Silence Fools!" In this edition, the Scoundrels first respond to a listener voicemail. The discussion gets a little tense before they turn to the results of the latest listener Twitter poll.

Thanks for tuning into episode 57 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Scrumrats.

Welcome to episode 56.1 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Burning Seas. On this Scoundrels Special Edition, Dennis and Darth Taxus dive into the recent issues of Darth Vader and discuss the "Burning Seas" story arc. The Emperor grows tired of the galaxy speaking with multiple voices and seeks the elimination of the Imperial Senate so that only his voice dictates the will of the Empire. However, making such a change isn't so easy. Therefore, he sends an Imperial fleet to Mon Cala to make an example of the rebellious planet. In addition, he senses the influence of the Jedi in Mon Cala's affairs. Naturally, he sends Darth Vader and his Inquisitorious to handle the situation.

Indeed, there is a Jedi involved. Dennis and Darth Taxus discuss whether this Jedi lives up to the Jedi ideal. Or, has this Jedi adopted methods the Jedi Council would frown on? What are the motives of this Jedi, and do the ends justify the means? Plus, what memories does returning to Mon Cala surface for Darth Vader? In addition, what do these stories say about Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin's relationship? Finally, Tarkin has interesting thoughts on what it means to be an Empire.
