Welcome to episode 69.2 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Station Theta Black. On this episode, Dennis, Jay, and Taxus are wrapping up their coverage of the first half of the first season of Resistance with their review of "Station Theta Black." After finishing their discussion of "Station Theta Black," the Scoundrels discuss the first half of the season as a whole.
When Kaz takes the Fireball for a rendezvous with Poe Dameron, he doesn't know that Tam hadn't finished repairing it. Just as his ship breaks down, Poe and the Resistance arrive. Once he delivers his report on Captain Doza's potential deal with the First Order, General Organa tasks Kaz and Poe with a mission to explore a First Order outpost. Their orders are not to engage the First Order at any cost.
As the mission unfolds, Kaz and Poe learn some of the First Order's secrets and then must make their escape. On this episode, Dennis, Jay, and Darth Taxus discuss the return of Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma. They also note General Organa's return and a change of voice actors. The Scoundrels break down the mission and its exciting finale.
Once the discussion of "Station Theta Black" concludes, the Scoundrels turn to the first half of season one overall. They'll offer their overall opinions on the show's progression, favorite characters, and what does and does not work. Plus, is Resistance following a similar theme as Rebels? Download or stream this episode and find out what the Scoundrels think.

It was a busy week for Star Wars news. The Scoundrels discussing casting and production news for the live action Star Wars television series. Also, they discuss additional guest announcements for Star Wars Celebration Chicago. In addition, the news includes discussion of a new Darth Vader comic and a new Thrawn novel. Finally, the news concludes with a discussion of Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures.
An episode of Galaxy of Adventures features Luke receiving Anakin's lightsaber. However, the animation of that scene is far different than the scene presented in A New Hope. This got the Scoundrels thinking, "what were our early impressions of the Force 40 years ago?" In this week's "Hyperthetical," they look back on the presentation and introduction of the Force to movie audiences from A New Hope.
As with every episode, episode 69 ends with another edition of "Silence Fools!" For listeners new to Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels, "Silence Fools!" is the feedback and listener participation segment of this show. On this week's show, they Scoundrels answer a listener email and discuss whether Obi-Wan should have done more to counter Palpatine's influence of Anakin.
Thanks for tuning into episode 69 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: The Force Begins. We hope you enjoyed this our discussion of the the introduction of the Force.

"Secrets and Holograms" begins with Torra Doza lamenting her boredom in her bedroom. After confronting her father about his dealings with the First Order, she decides to sneak out. Very quickly, she bumps (literally) into Kaz and BB-8. Although Kaz tags along for her trip to the market, he is really interested in spying on Torra's father.
On this episode, the Scoundrels discuss Kaz's continuing evolution as a spy. Plus, when presented with a straightforward question about whether he is a spy, Kaz answers with a poor excuse for a lie. Does he have a day of reckoning coming? In addition, the First Order is making a move on Colossus. What will the results be.
Thanks for tuning into episode 68.1 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Secrets and Holograms. We hope you enjoyed this discussion of the latest episode of Resistance.
