Welcome to episode 81 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Jedi Before the Menace. On this episode, the Scoundrels are taking a look at Scott Cavan's radio drama Jedi Lost and Claudia Gray's novel Master & Apprentice. Before the Scoundrels dive into their hyperthetical and the news, they discuss:
  • Galaxy's Edge coverage,
  • Alphabet Squadron, and
  • Ticket prices for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2020.

Star Wars News - Jedi: Fallen Order

After the news of the dates of Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2020 broke last, week there isn't much left for the Scoundrels to talk about except Jedi: Fallen Order. On episode 81, they discuss:

  • The new Jedi: Fallen Order trailer,
  • The game play footage,
  • The offical Jedi: Fallen Order art, and
  • The tie-in comic from Marvel.

Jedi Lost and Master & Apprentice

In the "Hyperthetical" segment, Dennis, Jay, and Taxus take on Jedi Lost and Master & Apprentice. Among the topics of discussion from Jedi Lost are:

  • Dooku's early days at the Jedi Temple,
  • Dooku's relationship with Sifo-Dyas and Lene Costana,
  • Dooku's attachment to his sister, Jenza, and his estrangement from his father and brother,
  • The connection Dooku has with the Dragon on Serenno, and
  • Asajj Ventress's mission.

For Master & Apprentice, the Scoundrels discuss:

  • Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon's difficult relationship,
  • Dooku's first Padawan, Rael Aveross,
  • Rael's attachments, or lack thereof,
  • Princess Fanray, and
  • Qui-Gon's rebelliousness and Obi-Wan's conformity.

The Scoundrels will be revisiting these stories in future episodes.

Social Media, Email, and More

Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels is a bi-weekly show that features three first-generation Star Wars fans. Each episode, RetroZappers Dennis Keithly, Jay Krebs, and Darth Taxus offer their thoughts and reactions on Star Wars news. Then, they engage in Star Wars discussion in the "Hyperthetical" segment. Top ten lists, book reviews, Resistance and television discussion, and interviews are all on the table. After the Hyperthetical, each episode features listener feedback with Silence Fools!

The Scoundrels on Twitter: Dennis Keithly can be followed @DJKver2, Darth Taxus is @DarthTaxus, and Jay Krebs is @JoyceKrebs.

SCubedPod thrives on listener feedback. Therefore, Dennis, Taxus, and Jay would love to read your email on the show. To reach them, email the show at SCubedPod@RetroZap.com. For instance, have an opinion on Star Wars comics, Rebels, or the novels? We want to hear it. Also, have a question about some Star Wars detail? Send it to us! It doesn't have to be Star Wars to make it on our show.

Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels T-Shirts can be purchased here.

Finally, Dennis, Taxus, and Jay would appreciate an iTunes review for the show. Thank you.
